毛建军是NBA超级巨星科比·布莱恩特的众多绰号之一，科比的绰号如小飞侠、大婶、毛八一等，毛建军是从毛八一发展而来。
在2006年1月23日对阵猛龙队的一场NBA常规赛中，科比在常规时间内狂敛惊世骇俗的81分，引起球迷的疯狂热捧。部分科迷认为科比从此史上第一，因此如果有其他球星的球迷列出事迹挑战，科迷总是说：“××算个毛，科比有81分”，最后竟然演化凡是很nb的事，不管和篮球有没有关，大家总是用“××算个毛，科比有81分”来反驳，科比的毛八一的绰号得来如此。又因为在中国八一刚好是建军节，于是水木清华ＢＢＳ网友BillieJean又给科比取了“毛建军”的外号，属于毛八一的衍生。
在水木混了好多天，今天才知道，原来说毛建军是在说科比呀，sigh……
